The opening hours of the beer tents
On the first Saturday, September 17, 2022, the tents open at 9 a.m., from 10 a.m. there are non-alcoholic drinks, at 12 noon it’s time to say: “Ozapft is!” and the beer bar begins. With the tapping, the Oktoberfest is officially considered open!
From Monday to Friday, the tents open at 10am and close at 11:30pm.
Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, 3.10. the bar starts at 9 a.m., the curfew is at 11:30 p.m. In the large festival halls, the last beer and the last music are at 10:30 p.m. In the small tents such as snack and café tents, serving and music only ends at 11 p.m.
The opening times of the stalls
At the Oktoberfest 2022, the sales stands may open from 9 a.m. even during the week. On the first Oktoberfest Saturday, September 17th, the sales stands open at 9 a.m. and remain open until midnight.
From Monday to Thursday the opening hours are between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. until 11.30 p.m. and on Fridays between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. until midnight.
On Saturdays it is open from 9 a.m. to midnight, on the 1st and 2nd Sunday (18/25 September) and on the Day of German Unity, 3 October, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. On Sunday, October 2nd, it is open from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Beer tents – there are 14 large and many smaller tents at the Wiesn
The large festival tents all hold over 3.000 seats in the tent and the beer gardens, the small tents up to 1.000 seats. The large beer tents have an incredible 6.000 seats inside and are divided into a central nave, side boxes on the edge as well as the galleries and balconies. The Hofbräu tent with around 10,040 seats, a good third of which is outside and two thirds inside, is the largest marquee.
Notes on reservations
While all large tents have large areas that cannot be reserved, the small tents, which are divided into chicken and sausage roasting shops and café tents, can usually only be visited in the evenings with a reservation.
Beer gardens, on the other hand, are exempt from reservations, with a few exceptions. However, there are no tickets for any of the tents – entry is always free.
